Dying To Get Out

Friday Weigh-in & Goals for the Week
Friday, Jun. 27, 2003 - 5:00 p.m.

current mood: jubilant
current weigh-in: 265 lbs.
current goal: 15 lbs.
ideal weight/goal: 150 lbs.

Well, it was a touch-and-go week for me. My weight bounced around off and on during the early part of the week. Monday it was 263, Wednesday it was 269. I was a bit depressed until I got on the scales this morning and was back to my solid 265. So, no tremedous weight loss this week, but no serious gains either! Not bad for someone who indulged in an ice cream sundae last night, huh? ::laughs:: I managed to meet my water intake goal every day this past week except for on Wednesday. That may have something to do with why I gained so much weight that day (or my freakin' scales are just off, which could be a possibility! *reminds herself to pick up a new battery for it this weekend*) I've also managed to do Pilates twice this past week, not the goal I wanted, but with my busy work schedule during the week, I'd say that wasn't too bad. I didn't get to do my walking as much as I would have liked either. Damn work schedule! I also want to start incorporating some weight training and some yoga into my work-outs this coming week.

My Goals for the upcoming week:

1. Increase my water intake by another 16 oz. That will bring me up to 70 oz a day, but with all this heat, I know my body needs it!

2. Force myself up out of bed by 6 am on my days off to do my walking routine. (This will be a toughy because sometimes I am just getting to bed at that hour. Yes, I am such the nightowl.)

3. Since I am only working Sat and Sun this week, my goal is to do Pilates on Mon, Wed, and Fri and to do weight training on Tues and Thurs. I will try to work the yoga in on a couple of those days.

4. Eat more salads and fresh fruits.

5. Continue taking the weight loss pills I found online (TrimLife - with no ephedrine in them; they use Green Tea extract instead)

6. Lay off of the sodas and sweet tea!! These are my two biggest problem areas where drinks are concerned. I need to get back to drinking fresh brewed tea with sweet-n-low or stevia and a twist of lemon. And just not drink sodas at all since I cannot drink any of the diet sodas.

7. Leave the chips, cheese doodles, candy bars, and pie alone! I cannot even begin to tell you how many times those things have suddenly ended up in my hands and then in my mouth over the last week. It's as though they are magnets to my waistline!

8. Lay off of the red meat. I do not know why, but over the last week and a half, I have been craving red meat. I know it isn't the most healthy thing for my body, but I found this really awesome organic meat source and I cannot seem to stay away from them! ::laughs:: It wouldn't be so bad, but I know my body doesn't like this stuff cause every time I eat it, I get sick. So you would think by now I would know to leave the darn stuff alone!

9. Eat more baked fish and chicken. These shouldn't be a problem since I have a whole freezer full of both.

10. Eat more green veggies! I never seem to get enough of these in my diet, no matter how I try. So this week I will eat more spinach, greens, and broccoli. I also have these awesome pills I found online called Spirulina Pacifica. They are made with all kinds of green leafy veggies and are 100% pure organic. And, they are chucked full of essential amino acids and antioxidants. Good for me stuff! So when I cannot get those leafy veggies into my diet, I will just take 6-15 of those tablets and let it go!

Okay, well there are my goals for the upcoming week. Wish me luck that I reach them all and that by this time next week, I have shed a few pounds instead of just maintained. ::laughs::
