Weigh-In and Upcoming Goals - Week 4
Sunday, Jul. 06, 2003 - 2:13 p.m.
current mood: mixed current weigh-in: 266 lbs. current goal: 15 lbs. ideal weight/goal: 150 lbs With the weekend of celebration, bad eating habits, little-to-no exercise, and Auntie Flo beating on my door, I am not sure if I should be happy that I have only gained one pound or if I should be disgusted because not only have I gained a pound, but that I haven't lost ANY weight at all in the 3 weeks I have been on this life-changing adventure. I know that some of my problem is that I am still eating bad foods, including chips, red meat, and high fat-content salad dressings. I am also still drinking sodas on occassion. Oh, not to mention, I had one too many sundaes over the holiday weekend ::sighs:: I have kept up with the water-intake. I am now up to 128 oz. a day. I have made this fairly easy for myself. I purchased a 64 oz. insulated cup at a local convenience store, you know, one of those Super Chugger Mugs, and I fill it with cold, filtered water. I keep a smaller glass with ice with me at all times that I fill from the super cup. When all the water is gone from the super cup, I fill it again and continue til it is all gone. This way I know I am getting exactly the 128 oz. of water and not less because of the ice. For some reason though, I am staying constantly thirsty, no matter how much water I drink. Hence, I revert to a soda which "quinches" my thirst momentarily. I know that the soda isn't really quinching my thirst because as soon as I am done drinking it, I get thirsty all over again. I have also been eating tons of red meat the past few days. Mostly because of the holiday and grilling outside, but also because I have been craving it again this week. I wonder if this has something to do with Auntie Flo's incoming visit? Anyway, it has been bison meat, which is supposed to be healthier than dead cow. Another problem for me this week has been the exercising. Since it is getting more humid outside, I have not felt like walking. It is humid in the early morning and late at night. I have been doing my pilates a bit and some yoga, but not enough! And I haven't one hardly any weight training this week either ::sighs:: Goals for the week: 1) Maintain the water intake at 128 oz. and increase if needed because of the heat. I may even try adding some fresh lemon, lime and oranges to the water again. 2) Eat more veggies! I never seem to get enough of these into my diet these days. I think I will start buying a few fresh veggies every day instead of a whole lot of them at once. I get a bit disinterested in my supply and they usually end up spoiling over the week. 3) Since walking is virtually out of the question right now because of the intense humidity, I plan to work-out to more of my tapes: pilates, Denise Austin, and yoga. 4) I am going to try to go vegetarian this week, so I will be eating more beans, peanut butter (low-fat of course) and tofu.
